Paul O'Grady appeals for Zambia's orphaned elephants

28 04 2015

TV presenter and comedian The Estate Of Paul O'Grady has joined forces with the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) to help appeal for Zambia's orphaned elephants in a BBC Radio 4 charity campaign, airing May 17.

O'Grady, who visited DSWF's orphanage in Zambia two years ago, commented 'The work they do at the orphanage is remarkable. The bond between the keepers and the elephants is truly extraordinary and we have to help, because in ten years' time there won't be any wild elephants left, they'll all be gone, along with the rhino and that's shocking. Absolutely shocking. So we have to do everything in our power to help these creatures and to help the people who look after them'.
